Pig’s blood & ice - 2023
At first I really didn’t like the idea of painting over underwhelming pieces or fuck ups. My brain wouldn’t let me get excited about it. I was too stuck on them being failures and moving on. But recently I’ve had a change of heart and have become excited with the notion of breathing new life into dormant canvases. It really doesn’t make sense to have pieces that don’t excite me (when showing them) taking up space in my home.
The result? Success. Ice melting on top of pig’s blood is pretty damn exciting.
